I have created an invaluable list of the BEST 7 podcasts for Intuitive Eating.
These choices were not haphazardly chosen on a whim just for the sole purpose of writing a blog post. This exclusive list is based on hours and hours of dog walks and listening and learning all things Intuitive Eating and Anti-Diet.
Are you a podcast listener? I am going to be honest here and tell you that I had never listened to a podcast prior to 2019 and now it is probably my go-to way of learning new things and seeing different points of view. It is an amazing platform.
I was honored to be a guest on the Act 2: You’re On Podcast where I was humbled to talk about my journey from being in the health and wellness space for over 25 years to becoming an Anti-Diet practitioner and creating the “No Weigh Way”. Check out the podcast here.
Get ready and pull up your notes section on your phone and jot down these gems.
Best Intuitive Eating Podcasts
1. Food Psyche
Hands down my #1 podcast! I’ve been known to say if you want just one podcast to focus on, this is IT!! From the listeners questions at the opening with Christy’s extremely thorough response to the incredible line-up of guests to ALL topics covered in the arena of Intuitive Eating, Anti-Diet and HAES, there is not one episode that disappoints.
Here are a few of my favorite Food Psyche episodes
Episode 198. Preventing Disordered Eating in the Next Generation with Lauren Muhlheim, Psychologist and Eating-Disorder Specialist
Episode #144. Body- Image Resilience with Lindsay & Lexie Kite of Beauty Redefined
Check out the Food Psyche podcast HERE
2. What the Actual Fork Podcast
What the Actual Fork podcast is a hidden gem. I stumbled across this podcast at the beginning of my transition into anti-diet and I was hooked. Sammy Previte and Jenna Werner are both Registered Dietitians that were trained, practiced and personally very thick in diet culture, like myself, and after straddling the fence for a bit made the gigantic leap into the anti- diet arena. The vitally important topics discussed with expertise, the high caliber choice of guests, the occasional F-Bomb (warning here) thrown and compassionate way of being that Sammy and Jenna encompass make this podcast a true winner!

Episode 2. Normalizing Shame & Being Imperfect with Dr. Lindo Bacon
Episode 35. Can You Lose Weight While Intuitive Eating with Evelyn Tribole.
Episode 57. Why BMI is Bullsh*t with Alissa Rumsey.
3. RD Real Talk
Heather Caplan does a fabulous job bringing fellow Registered Dietitians to discuss timely and relevant topics in the Intuitive Eating, HAES and Anti-Diet arena. The episodes tend to be a bit shorter in length than some of the others (around 30-45 minutes on average) and I see this as a bonus as I know I can get the information in succinct manner but it does not lack the vital content.
Here are a few of my favorite episodes
Episode 133. We Are Anti-Diet Dietitians, not Anti-Dieters, with Anna Sweeney MS CEDRD-S
Episode 198. 3 Keys To Intuitive Eating for Kids with Sumner Brooks
Episode 130. All About Body Image with Bri Campos
4. Maintenance Phase
If you like to laugh AND love science based information, Maintenance Phase is for you! The show is hosted by Aubrey Gordon, author of “What We Don’t Talk About When We Talk About Fat” and Michael Hobbes who is an American Journalist and it is just brilliant. I can not even count the amount of times that people have said to me, “Laura, I have the best podcast for you. It is called Maintenance Phase.” And they go on and on how obsessed they are with the show and how much they learned from it. I wholeheartedly agree. It can NOT be missed.

“Health is about being kind to your body” says the host of Body Kindness, Physiologist Rebecca Scritchfield. I love the tone of this podcast. Having ‘Body Kindness’ is a holistic topic of how all facets of our lives can affect our health.

Episode 154. How to Cope With Your Emotions With Kindness with Evelyn Tribole and Elyse Resch

6. The Mindful Dietitian
Not only do I LOVE Fiona Sutherland’s Australian accent but I have learned SO much from her podcast, The Mindful Dietitian. Rebecca is one of the pioneers in the Anti-Diet space and she has created such a welcoming platform that she brings dietitians from all over the world who are experts in body inclusivity, Health At Every Size, the Non Diet Approach and Mindfulness-based practice. I highly recommend adding this show to your list of “must have” intuitive eating podcasts.
Here are a few of my favorite Episodes
Episode 84. Disrupting Transgenerational Disconnection with Sumner Brooks
Episode 65. Anti Diet as Revolutionary Action with Christy Harrison
Episode 44. Redefining Effective & “what works” with Evelyn Tribole
7. Food Heaven Podcast
Food Heaven is run by two Registered Dietitians and “BFF’s”, Wendy Lopez and Jessica Jones. This podcast is not exclusively about Intuitive Eating but there are some REALLY good episodes that fall into that category and that are quite relevant. They take on some serious topics and do a fantastic job. (There are some political views so if you wish to steer clear from that, this may not be the podcast for you.)
Here are a few of my favorite episodes
The Science of Why Diets Don’t Work with Lindo Bacon (November 3, 2021)
The Racial Origins Of Fat Phobia with Sabrina Strings (September 21, 2021)
